Happy Christmas!

First of all HAPPY CHRISTMAS!! I hope your day is amazing and full of Joy, Happiness and Laughter.

So, its almost the end of another year. In my opinion 2013 hasn't been to bad of a year, there have been many highs and some lows but all in all it's been great.

I promised myself I would post more on my blog this year but I guess life just got in the way, but I promise next year WILL be different with hopefully at least one post a week.

2014 will be a huge year for me as I will turn 18!!! Hopefully I will finally pass my driving test, I will start barbering at college which means an extra day at college but for only 10 weeks I can't complain too much, I hope to find a good long term job, build more confidence in myself and also start working out more to achieve my target weight and dream body.

To me 2014 can't come soon enough although 2013 has gone s quickly its literally flown right by but as I think 2014 is going to be great I can't wait for it to arrive!

Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Wishlist- December

I have worn vans for years, which means some of them are looking very loved and tired. So I have been looking into re-purchasing some of the old looking ones that I have.

The black and white vans are my staple shoe as they are so comfy and versatile. You can wear vans all day and your feet will not start to hurt at all. Vans can be worn with everything including jeans, shorts, skirts, dresses, leggings and trousers.

£44.99 is a reasonable price as I pretty much wore mine everyday for 2 years and they have only recently broken (the sole came unstuck).

Buy the shoes here.

Small Haul

I've found a few items in the sales recently and thought I would share them with you lot as I love seeing what other people find in the sales as they are usually very hit and miss.

Topshop-

I saw these shorts in the summer and was so tempted to buy them but for some reason I didn't and I was so happy when I saw them in the sale and grabbed them straight away. I'am a huge sucker for anything high waisted, so these were added straight to my collection and although these probably aren't the best item of clothing for the autumn/winter seasons but I can't wait till next year to wear them so they'll be worn with tights for the time being.

Shorts- £15

I'am constantly wearing baggy oversized vests with a bandeau underneath so I thought that this would be perfect for that. The top has un-wired cups  and black buttons down the back which do come undone but you probably won't need to undo them as the top is quite stretchy.

Top-£5

H&M-

I have wanted a distressed denim jacket for years, I've been searching around charity shops, clothes shops and online but never found one I liked until a week ago. I brought this in a size 14 so that it would have to over sized look and in the winter I'd be able to fit a jumper or hoodie underneath, I have worn this jacket and it has been washed so that is why its not looking its best so sorry for the creases.

Unlined Parka- Topshop

Everyone in the autumn and winter always seem to wear a parka and this year is going to be no exception.

This jacket is perfect for layering on colder days and wearing on its own on warmer days. The colour of the jacket is perfect for the colder months as its not so stand out, the pockets are huge so you can wear your massive thick gloves still and carry other things in them. The drawstring around the waist can make be tightened and loosened depending on what your wearing underneath and what your body shape is. There is also a hood which is great for that unexpected rain which is becoming all too familiar in England.

The parka is currently on sale for £30 reduced for £60!

Fern Shoulder Pad Mini Dress- Topshop

The dress is just gorgeous the colours and the print are so vibrant which is perfect for the end of summer blues that most of us will suffer now that we have come into September and the beginning of Autumn.

The tropical print just reminds me and makes me wish I lived in a tropical hot country, the colours will stand out from the dark and monochrome that will be filling everyone's wardrobes and spreading across the high street this September.

Image from Topshop
The shoulder pads give the tight fitting dress a strong structured look while the fabric clings to your body to show off your curves. The dress stops half way down your thigh so if your not that comfortable showing off a lot of legs this dress probably isn't fr you but if your proud of your pins you have no excuse not to try the dress on.

The dress costs £38.00 which is quite alot for a dress but it will be a wardrobe staple that can be worn again and again and it will become a favourite.

Buy the dress here.

College- What to expect

By the end of year 11 I was fed up with school and defiantly didn't want to go back for sixth form so college seemed like the best option.

I was terrified of the thought of a new place, new teachers, new timetable and new people. At college you choose what you study so it seems less like a waste of time doing all the different subjects like at school. Colleges are normally alot bigger than schools and offer far more, one of the best things I found was during breaks and lunch you were allowed to leave the college campus and head into the city which was great for everything apart from my bank balance!

At college you are treated like an adult which means its your responsibility to get to college and lessons on time, to do your work on time and to supply the equipment you will need. You are also given less help as you aren't being forced to attend. The lessons a re pretty easy if your doing something you feel passionate about which you should as you chose to do it.

The social side of college is far better as the people in your class aren't all from where you live and everyone seems more mature now that they have left school and are acting like adults, there are also alot more events and trips planned which means you can meet people from the different subjects around college. The people are all different age groups which means your get a wider opinion on everything. The people who you meet in college are likely to be your friends for life!

College is huge compared to school so it will take a while to learn the whole campus even though I've been at my college for a year I still don't totally know where everything is, I only know the main parts that I need. As college is bigger you will need to expect to be dumped into alot more but as soon as you learn where you need to go that will lessen as you won't be standing around as much.

There is also alot more cafes and food areas in college so you can try different food from college although it probably will be alot more expensive than the food you can purchase in the town or city close to your college but it will probably be alot more healthier!

At my college and most others you are required to carry ID which can be the form of a lanyard of an ID card which can be annoying to remember to bring and wear all the time, but I suppose its necessary for security and keeping everyone safe. You will also see alot more different things at college atleast once a day I would see the security running at someone and I've also seen a man carrying a knife be arrested..

Good luck to everyone who is starting college in September!
You'll love it!

Perfect college bag!

In September I started my second year of college, having already been there for a year I knew that I thought I'd be prepared and buy a bigger bag this time instead of carrying all my extra work home in a Topshop plastic bag. As there are days when I won't need to bring as much to college I didn't want a huge one so the size of this bag would be perfect for both types of days. It will also be perfect for everyday use and if your travelling light.

The bag is from Topshop and cost £30 which is really good fr a bag of this quality and size. The bag has four zip compartments, two of them are huge and the other two will fit a phone and keys in. It also has two phone holders and a card holder inside the main compartment (which will fit college ID or a lanyard).

The bag is black leather look alike with gunmetal zips and details. It ha along strap for over the shoulder use which is how I'll hold it or you can use the two smaller straps to carry it on your arm. The straps aren't adjustable which would be quite annoying if your very tall or short as it will sit on a weird place on your body.

The bag can be made taller or deeper by unclipping the clips on the side, you can also remove the longer strap with them.

Buy the bag from here!

Bad Blogger!

I haven't posted in a couple of weeks which I'am sorry for.
There are 3 main reasons:
1. The family laptop which I use to blog and upload pictures for my blog was broken (smashed).
2. I have been super busy helping to do up my uncles house which goes on all day then when I do get home I'am far too tired for anything.
3. My phone is playing up and refusing to do anything helpful.

But yesterday I brought myself a netook which I will be doing a review on, So I should be back to doing more regular posts.

Herbal essences- Tousle me softly finishing touch cream REVIEW

I love the whole beachy messy bed head hair and I love trying products that will make it easier to achieve that look, as my hair has gone from a massive Afro when i was younger to being perfectly straight now I can't get it naturally anymore resulting in heat styled fried hair.

This product claims 'Tousle away in two different ways. For damp hair, let me help smooth things over and define your natural luscious waves. For dry hair, i help to refresh that messy, sexy look you love.' Even though this hair product is supposed to be used on naturally wavy hair I find that if you use it on wet dampish hair it works wonderfully on my perfectly straight hair.

You only need a tiny bit or it will make your hair sticky and crispy, tousle the product through your hair starting at the ends and using whatever is left on the mid-lengths and roots and then use a hairdryer to dry your hair. Tip your head upside down to dry as this will create more volume and you will be able to tousle it and move it around more. When the hair is dry use a tinier amount on the ends and mid-lengths for a less defined messier looking hairstyle.

The pot will last you ages as you only need to use a tiny bit each time.

You can find 'Herbal essences- Tousle me softly finishing touch cream' in superdrug and boots and in some larger supermarkets for around £5.

Neal's Yard Remedies- Power Berry Daily Moisture REVIEW

The product came free with 'In Style' Magazine (July 2013) and to be honest I only brought the magazine for the freebie.

I've been using the moisturizer morning and evening for the past week and a half. The claim 'Antioxidant-rich Acai, Bilberry and Goji berry help fight the effects of free radicals for brighter, dewy-looking skin' I personally haven't noticed much change in my skins dewiness or it looking any brighter than usual.
The moisturizer has an amazing minty fresh smell which would be quite off putting if you don't like the smell of mint but i personally love it, the scent does stay on the skin for quite a while which I suppose is a bad thing as you wouldn't really want anyone coming up to you and smelling your face.

The consistency is thin and runny so its probably best used if you have normal to slightly dry skin as I feel its not best used on oily skin as it will make it look shinier. As the product is quite runny it does come out rather quickly resulting in a massive waste.

I can't complain too much as it was a freebie and I will use it until it runs out but I won't be buying it again as I feel it hasn't made a huge or noticeable difference to my skin.

My Australian Dream!

Australia will always be a place I love! Even though I've only been there once, I plan to visit a lot more in the future and I also plan that one day I will live over there.I have family in down in Oz which I suppose is probably the reason I'm so fascinated by the country.

I can't help but stalk my cousins Facebook and Instagram pictures (sorry) because I just love the lifestyle and fashion that Australia has.

Although many people think that the U.K has a many different fashion cultures I think that the Australians are far better and a lot more interesting and inspiring.
English fashions shows usually have the same old clothes a parka, an oversized tee, vintage looking jeans, a statement accessory and a ridiculously sized bag either huge or tiny (no where near practical for everyday life), where as the Australian fashions shows always have something new (which is slightly owed to the weather, I know) whether its a bold cami or a pair of shorts that will show off the perfect all year tan the Ozzie style is far younger a fresher looking.

The Australian lifestyle makes the English lifestyle look boring and plain! The Australians can surf in a warm clean sea without worrying if you'll need a wetsuit to stop you from freezing or if there is any sewage floating around your feet as you dip a toe in to check the temperature.
Although the U.K has more historical sights (which cost an arm and a leg to get into) the Ozzie's can just sit in a park field with a few friends and still have a good time as the weather will be GREAT and look good just sitting in a group having a laugh.

The early dark winter evenings in a English winter are enough to make anyone want to emigrate to the land down under and soak up the sun on a warm Australian winter evening. You are far more likely to spend time with family and friends if the weather was nicer and the days lasted longer in the winter.

The Australian lifestyle is far more laid back unlike us brits who can't seem to go out without making a huge deal and dressing like we are about to walk the red carpet when we are only going to the local, which just sets us up for disappointment when the night just drifts by. The Ozzies can go out dressed casual and will have a far better night as there wasn't too much planning involved in what they wore.

Beaches, Australia defiantly wins this! The weather obviously helps this as there is more opportunities to just spend a day at the beach but also the cleanliness of the beaches is a lot better than the U.K. The sand isn't rubbish strewn and the sea isn't full of sewage and litter. The sea is a lot clearer and a far nicer shade of light blue unlike the British dark blue/grey/green sea we are all used to seeing.

You can travel to the other side of Oz and it will be like visiting a totally different country not only weather wise but culturally and environmentally where as Britain is the same all over a field, council estate, a lake, a wood, a town or city,a smelly harbor, and a farm.

In my conclusion and my opinion of life.. Life is so short and it only happens once. So why waste it in a cold wet country making a small amount of money instead of living in paradise and having more time to spend outside living life to the fullest?

Stood up

Being stood up is probably one of the worst things things that could happen to someone not only is it embarrassing but it also leaves you feeling degraded and unwanted.

I experienced my first ever 'stand up' last week I was supposed to meet a boy who I had met before so I was defiantly not expecting to be left waiting for 2 hours.

We had been planning to meet up for a couple of weeks and when the day came we text the whole morning. We had agreed to meet at half 12 in town.

I got off the bus and walked to where we were going to meet he wasn't there but I thought 'oh he will only be a couple of minutes late' so I waited for 10 minutes before I text him asking what time he would be here but after half an hour I hadn't got a reply.

I then text again asking when he would be here but still no reply.

I sat in town for 2 hours on my own convinced that he would turn up but finally I gave in and got the bus home.

I could not stop crying that night I felt like I wasn't good enough for him or he was too embarrassed to be seen with me.

The worst thing is I can't be sure that him and his friends weren't say somewhere watching me and laughing at how stupid I could be for waiting that long.

Almost a week later I still haven't got a reply but luckily I've found someone else who actually will turn up when we agree to see each other but I know if I hadn't found the other person I would still cry about being stood up and I wouldn't be able to move on for ages.

Hopefully I won't have an awkward 'bump into' with the boy and hopefully I won't have to see him again.

Regrets

People are always saying "I regret that" or "I regret doing that" but often most people don't mean that they actually regret it and they will only feel bad about it for a little while.

Even though I'm only 17 I have many regrets that I'll never live down.

I have already wasted most of my teenage years (apparently that best years of your life!) sat at home alone worrying about what everyone thinks of me and wishing I could go out with friends like all the teenagers you see on most TV programs. I've never been invited to a party which leaves me sitting in silence while everyone at college talks about how amazingly fun their weekend was.

I also regret not sorting out my acne until the end of year 11, which if I had done it earlier I wouldn't of had to sit through all the bullying that comes with secondary school life and not looking 'perfect' meaning now I'd probably not be so paranoid or have such little self-confidence.

Also being terrified of having a boyfriend which I finally got over last October, although it only lasted 4 months and him being my first makes it impossible to forget but it took 16 and a half years to get there meaning compared to many other girls my age and younger I'am pretty much inexperienced.

And finally my main regret which I still haven't got sorted and that is hard to even think about. Not getting help with depression and anxiety is something that I can't believe I haven't sorted out yet. I haven't even told anyone I know about it. Its so much easier to vent your problems online to total strangers who will only know what you tell them about yourself rather than actually getting help and fixing the problem.

I have many more problems but these are my main.

I guess what I'm saying is that everyone has at least one regret that only they can sort out but the longer you leave it the worse and harder it gets to deal with.

So do what you want and what will make you happy so that you don't have any regrets in the long run.

Rook piercing- Day 14

Same

Not alot has changing with my rook piercing I think it's settled down now.

There no pain unless I hit it or any sign of swelling or redness anymore.

I'm still going to clean it for the 2 months that the piercer told me to.

Floral dress- Summery OOTD

The weather in England at the moment is beautiful!! Its starting to feel like summer (finally). Today I'm just going into town to pick up a few bits that I've run out of recently.

As the weather is so nice I decided to dress as summery as possible.

The dress was actually once a play suit which I never wore so I recently decided to turn into a dress which is something that I will wear alot more now. The back of the dress is cut out with a tie that ties over your bra strap although I would recommend wearing a backless bra as the strap doesn't cover the bra strap.

My full face isn't in any of these pictures because when I can to write this post I realised I was pulling a weird face in all the pictures and the light outside had changed so I couldn't take any new pictures.

Play suit/ Dress- New Look
Belt- New Look
Backless bra- Primark

Sandals- River Island
Nail varnish- Miss Sporty
Earrings- Primark
( My ear is slightly dry from the salt water soak I've been doing for my rook piercing)
Eyeshadow- Sleek Storm pallete
Eyeliner- Natural collection
Brown Mascara- Helen E
Perfume- Kylie Minogue Darling
( A really summery scent)
I hope your all enjoying this beautiful summer weather and are having a wonderful summer!

Rook piercing- Day 13

All the same

Today my ear has been pretty much the same as yesterday but hurting for about half an hour after I hit it on my arm...

Monday 3 June 2013

Rook piercing- Day 12

Ahhh!

*sigh of relief* yet again no pain today.

Woke up with absolutely no pain, swelling or redness at all and only a slight tingle of pain when I slipped while cleaning it and stabbed my ear.

I've decided to stop full on soaking my ear in salty water as it's starting to make my earlobe dry and flakey *ew*.  So I've no started to sea salt soak once every 2 days and in between just using a cotton bud and cleaning the piercing with that soaked in salty water.

Sunday 2 June 2013

Rook piercing- Day 11

Zero's the hero.

Absolutely no pain at all today! Today is probably the best day in rook piercing land hopefully it's a sign of no more pain.

My ear has no swelling or redness which is probably the best sight I can see lately.

I'm still cleaning it twice a day. Twice with salt water and mixed with one of the a little tea tree oil added to the warm salty water.

Saturday 1 June 2013

Rook piercing- Day 10

Oh wow!

Today I woke up with the most incredible pain in my ear ever! It felt as if something was stabbing the inside of the piercing hole and that a wasp was stinging the outside.

My ear isn't at all red or swollen just hurting like crazy.. I'm hoping that it only hurts because I accidentally slept on it not that it's infected or my bodies reflecting it.

I've salt soaked twice today and that doesn't seem to of made the pain any less.

Fingers crossed that tomorrow will be a better day in the land of the rook piercing.

Friday 31 May 2013

Rook piercing- Day 9

Looking normal

My ear has finally stopped hurting and the swelling has gone down although I'm pretty sure it won't be long till it's decided to react to something a swell up again.

I woke up this morning with a totally painless and swell free ear! Which is a huge relief  as after knocking it yesterday I was seriously considering taking it out.

Cleaning and moving the jewellery is now totally pain free.

Thursday 30 May 2013

Rook piercing- Day 8

Ouch.

Last night I slept on my ear which is now one of the most painful things I've done. My ear is now intensely throbbing and red.

It has also swelled a little more than yesterday which is barely noticeable.

I can move the bar up and down which is relatively painless although it does turn my ear red.

The cleaning is now almost painless only hurting if I push to hard.

Wednesday 29 May 2013

Rook piercing- Day 7

Throb.

First of all I don't understand how this works out a day 7 when tomorrow it would be a week since I've had it done.. Oh well

This morning my ear is incredibly sensitive even my hair being on it hurts there is also alot of throbbing today which is strange as I thought it would start to feel better now.

It's still slightly red a swollen which hopefully will start to go down soon.

Tuesday 28 May 2013

Rook piercing- Day 6

Itchy itchy itchy..

This morning I woke up with the most incredibly itchy ear which is a sign of it healing hallelujah!

Touching and cleaning my ear has become alot less painful but I'm still wary of sleeping or lying on it.

There's a tiny bit more swelling since yesterday but it's only noticeable if you look up close. I haven't had anymore crust or blood since it's been done.

Monday 27 May 2013

Rook piercing- day 5

This morning I woke up with no pain which was a surprise as before I went to sleep I pushed the bar up an down which was a stupid thing to do as it felt like I was being stabbed for inside my ear.

The cleaning part is relatively painless just a slight throb when I turn the bar to clean behind it. I've found that having a cup of warm sea salt water with my ear dipped in for 5-10 minutes really helps the to get rid of the pain.

As far as swelling goes I've only had a small amount which is not what I expected, I was thinking that my whole ear would swell and go bright red.

Sunday 26 May 2013

Rook piercing- Day 4

Woke up with absolutely no pain!! *hallelujah* I managed to not sleep on it or even touch it in the night which I defiantly think has helped with having no pain this morning.

It's still slightly red which I'm guessing is right with an new piercing especially a cartilage piercing. It's still too painful to touch but I'm hoping  that will sort it's self out in the next couple of days.

Saturday 25 May 2013

Rook piercing- Day 3

Ouch!!!

I slept on my ear last night by accident and then woke up and punched it.. Probably wasn't the best thing I could of done as now my ear is killing and bright red!

Still I have no swelling yet but I'm pretty sure in the next 2 days my ear is going to swell, I'm hoping this pain will go away with a paracetamol *fingers crossed*.

I get asked to describe the pain which is a hard thing to do as it differs from day to day, one day it could be just a numb slight throbbing or like today it could be a huge throbbing and cheese grater rubbing along your skin and bone feeling.

Friday 24 May 2013

Rook piercing- Day 2

Woke up this morning with a slight throbbing in my ear which was nothing too major.

My ear hasn't swollen yet but I was told to expect that around day 3-5, which I'am NOT looking forward to!

There was only a small amount of blood and crust around the holes.

Thursday 23 May 2013

Rook piercing- Day 1

Today I got my rook pierced which I was absolutely terrified about because I watch videos of other people getting it done and they were saying how much it hurt!

The piercer used a needle and the actual piercing didn't hurt and I didn't feel the needle, it bled a little but after I cleaned it it hasn't bled again so far.

After a couple of hours it started to throb and sting a little, it's still to painful to touch or even think about moving.

It cost £25 and was defiantly worth the pain so far..

Just after I got it done and after it was cleaned.

What I'm loving spring/summer 2013

So, its almost the beginning of May which to me means its almost my birthday and that summers almost here!!

The weather in England has started to get warmer FINALLY!!! Which if you look around everyone seems happier and in a summery mood.

To me summer is the best season ever as you can get your legs out and finally wear the shorts you brought in the end of summer sale last year and have been dying to wear ever since, you wont have to worry about needing a coat.

These are a few of the things I have been loving this spring/summer:

Dove summer glow nourishing lotion- this moisturiser contains a small amount of fake tan. You use it like a normal moisturiser and apply all over your body but instead of just moisturising it gives a subtle natural looking tan which looks like you've just stepped off the beach. The tan is buildable so the more you use it the darker you get, it doesn't give you an orangey glow just a natural looking tan.

No7 Lift & Luminate day and night serum- Summers all about looking healthy and glowy and these two serums defiantly help with that, although I'm too young to get wrinkles I still believe in using anti wrinkle creams to hopefully help prevent them in the future and these serums help to make your skin look youthful and radiant. I use them underneath the No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Night Cream every morning and night.

Herbal essences Bee Strong Strengthening Cream- I'm pretty sure this is a new thing that Herbal essences have brought out which they say help to protect from combing damage. Its a rather weird thing and something that I haven't seen before you can either spray it on to your hair just like a leave-in conditioner or if you spray it onto your hand it forms a cream which you can apply to the ends of your hair. This is defiantly helping to make my hair softer and stronger.

The Body Shop Satsuma Beautifing Oil- This oil can be used on both your hair and skin, I have only used it on my hair as my skin is already quite oily. I apply a small amount to the mid-lengths and ends of my hair to help protect them from damage. The scent stays with you for most of the day after you've used it which can be nice but can be slightly over powering if your wearing perfume. The oil is helps to make my hair look shinier and smoother.

The Body Shop Coconut Shimmer Body Butter- If you don't like shimmer you probably won't like this as although the shimmer is only slightly noticeable you can defiantly see it there in bright light, the smell of coconut just makes me think of summer so anything coconuty is a must for me. Like any Body Shop Body Butter it works well to moisturiser your skin and make it smell great.

A few songs I've been loving:
Don Henley- Boys of summer
Men At Work- Down under
Rudimental- Waiting all night
Duke Dumont Feat A.M.E- Need U (100%)

I hope your all enjoying this beautiful weather and the thought of summer being so close.

Wintery OOTN

Although its April, living in England means the weather is never what the seasons should be.. so its still snowing!

I wore this to a family event (boring) as i thought it was dressed up but casual and practical for the weather. The dress is from a Topshop sale (for £10!!) back in January so I don't think its available anymore but I'm sure Primark or New Look would have something similar. Even though they didn't have a size 10 I brought a size 8 and prayed to god that it would fit as it was far to beautiful to be left there and luckily it fitted perfectly! The neckline of the dress has small goldy silvery spikes which match the black belt that came with it.

The Doc's were a birthday present a couple of years ago but they will still be available. I chose white as I haven't seen many people with white ones so I thought it would be a change, which I have now realized was not such a good idea as they are rather hard to style.

Dress- Topshop
Blazer- H&M
Tights - Primark.

Close up of the dress, blazer and belt. (with a bit of snow)

From Pink To Blonde!

So I did a post recently about how I died my hair bright pink and now its time I went back to blonde.
In total I used 6 products in total: Tresemme - Salon Silk Shampoo, Jerome Russell- Bblonde Hair Lightener 30Vol 9%, John Freida - Sheer Blonde Shampoo, Aussie - Miracle Shine Deep Conditioner, Aussie - Luscious Long Leave In Conditioner and Directions - Silver Toner.

I only took pictures of the first time I did this but I did it twice to get it too a blonde colour with no pink hints, although it didn't turn out totally pink and has some orange parts to it, It will have to do for the time being.

Here's what I did..
